Inventory and Receiving Lead –Onsite Lake Wales

 

Job Summary

The Inventory Control Lead is responsible for routine and emergency purchases of non-cannabis product made by the company from its approved vendors. This includes the duties of preparing and processing purchase orders or purchase requests and finding the best price and quality on goods and services based on the needs of the business. Inventory Lead must have a great eye for detail, familiarity with inventory control, warehousing, and have basic math skills. Must also have adequate capability to unload large, bulky and heavy shipments, along with clerical skills to update records and communicate with Logistics and Production Supervisors and Procurement business partners. This is a full-time opportunity located in the Lake Wales, Florida.

 

Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage physical inventory location - Lake Wale warehouse.

· Implement and evaluate inventory controls to track and account for all facilities’ non cannabis inventory and ensure optimization of procedures.

· Coordinate with the management for order fulfillment needs and executing fulfillment of these orders with the Logistics and Production Department.

· Ensure product stock is adequate for demand.

· Use software to monitor and maintain records, including operating procedures, inventory records, audit records, storage records, delivery records, and transfer records.

· Maintain inventory documents with up-to-date inventory counts.

· Receive and review daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.

· Review levels of materials with logistics and inventory personnel to identify shortages.

· Place orders to replenish stock, avoiding excess surplus or insufficiencies.

· Reporting to upper management on stock levels, issues, and partner with Quality team in the management of remediation of failed material.

· Development, review, coach, and manage inventory coordinators.

 

Qualifications and Education

· Analytical with strong math skills. BS/BA in business administration, logistics or relevant field, or relevant qualifications preferred.

· Proven experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar position.

· Working knowledge of inventory management software

· Strong interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.

· Exceptional planning and organizational abilities.

· Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

· Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data (Excel, Word, ERP Systems)

 

Requirements

· Must be 21 years of age

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

· Will work weekends, holidays and overtime based on the needs of the Department and the overall business.

· Must pass a Florida Department of Law Enforcement Office of Medical Marijuana Use Level 2 Background Screening

· Experience in operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks safely, ability to obtain forklift certification

· Basic math skills, recording abilities, detail oriented, excellent organizational and communication skills

· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. daily, without assistance

· Daily requirements of pushing, pulling, lifting, standing, stooping, reaching, climbing, twisting, bending

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

· Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension).

· May require use of respirator in the workplace to protect against exposure to occupational dusts, fumes, mists, gases, and vapors; medical clearance and fit testing may be required before use of respirator.

WORK SCHEDULE: All weekdays, including weekends, are covered by Inventory Control staff. Specific schedules will be assigned based on areas covered and the needs of the business/department. Overtime is anticipated on an as needed basis. Employee will be scheduled holiday work -- most holidays, Full time, minimum 40hrs/wk.
